Anahata Nad (unstruck sound) (2000)4:59
The title of the piece is Anahata Nad [unstruck sound]. Constructed from explorations in ‘time-frequency’ and additive Fourier techniques, both approaches generated synthesized tones as well as processed morphologies of an Indian droning instrument, the Tambura. The sustained resonant quality of the instrument forms the foundation for the piece.
