Ambient Dark Zone is a soundscape composition about an adventure into the mysterious realm. Through the use of low and high frequency and four-channel output, this piece aims to create a sense of distance in space. The listeners will feel like traversing with their sense of hearing in a mysterious dark zone, somewhere deep in space or underwater. The primary source materials are rhythmic sounds collected from human activities, nature and electric means, such as cutting up a vegetable or the sound of waves beating the shore. While giving listeners a sense of eeriness and unsettlement, it also arouses curiosity in figuring out where the sounds originated.
