Tunnel No. 4 focuses on a systematic electroacoustic composition method in three stages: the creation of materials, their processing and their assembly. Analogies of time and space, specific to cinematographic editing, have been studied in order to generate various articulatory possibilities between the compound sound planes. In addition to the materials created specifically for this project, I. have drawn from my personal archives fragments of drum recordings captured in situ, in the studio, in concerts, or created virtually. This allowed me to question the medium of the drums within an acoustic universe punctuated by autobiographical borrowings. With this piece, different levels of realities alternate. The ensemble is made up of simulations, treatments and sound montages based on a dreamlike formal structure, situated between the real and the artificial, memories and futures.
